Top 5 Free Media Players You Should Install
I watch a lot of videos on my PC. Yeah, I really do. Movies, Anime, Kdrama, TV Shows and so on. I really enjoy them but there is one problem; those videos are in many different formats. DVD rips and TV rips are usually AVI files. But Anime is mostly in MKV. BD rips are in MKV. Web videos are FLV. Not to mension RM or RMVB files. And there are a lot more. To play them all, you'll need a bunch of media players. I'll talk about my favorites and the reason why you should install them.

GOM Player : This is my first choice media player. One thing I like about GOM is that it gives me lots of control over video and audio. And it supports almost all the media formats. I never look back after I installed GOM. Its so good. [Link]
KM Player : I used it before I've heard of GOM, it was very much like GOM but it can't seem to handle HD videos. Anyway, it is still a very good media player and the developers must have improved a lot since last year. [Link]
VLC Media Player : The play-it-all media player. The streaming support is great. And you can do a whole lot of cool stuffs with. I think I'd like to call it a geek's media player. A normal PC user wouldn't recognize what VLC can do. It is that cool although the original interface design is very dull. [Link]
Media Player Classic : This little player is bundled with K-lite Codec Pack. You should install k-lite if you really want to play all types of media files. Simple but very useful because it will play Quicktime without having to install Quicktime player and the same goes with Real media files. [Link]
Real Player : Well, this player still has a fair share of market. Certainly, it will play real media files. And it will play many other video and audio formats, too. And you can easily save web videos such as Youtube easily because it has built is browser support. How cool is that? For me, I use a Firefox extension to download Youtube videos so I don't need this one. [Link]
I am now using GOM, MP Classic and VLC on my PC. The reason I installed 3 media players is that one can do better in a certain media format. Sometimes, GOM can't handle HD mkv files properly and VLC can do the job really well. Therefore, I recommend that you install those 3 players. You'll need them. Cheers!
